SUBMISSIONS
We are looking for all kinds of contributions from youth in care and former youth from the child welfare system. There is no age limit. Our space and budget is limited but please send us your work and we will fit it in one of our issues.
All submissions (no matter what size or description) pay $10 + 2 copies of Zine & HEARD. It’s not much but it’s something. You retain all rights to your work. We just want to get your voice out there & maybe you can help someone through sharing your thoughts or experience.

Stories.
We want to hear your stories about being in care and your experience of aging out of care. Your story might help someone.
Art.
Please submit pictures of your artwork & tell us the story behind it. We are also looking for cartoonists.
Photo Essays.
Don’t let the word “essay” scare you off. If you love taking photos, send us one of your favourites & tell us a little bit about it.
Poetry.
You know it doesn’t have to rhyme. It just has to speak. Poems can range from 50 to 150 words.
My Ink.
Send us a picture of your tattoo and the short story behind it. (50 words or less)
Music.
Tell us what you sing/play, what you’re working on, or maybe you just want to tell us how you feel about music.
Game Changers.
Tell us a story about someone in your life that really made a difference. Could be a worker, a teacher, a foster parent, a coach, a cop, a boss, a stranger, someone else.
Age is just a number… unless you grew up in care.
Tell us your experience of aging out of care.
